ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology has developed into a robust field with demonstrated applications and indications for tremendous growth. Yet, despite the potentially significant benefits to be achieved, companies are moving cautiously due to uncertainty regarding the future regulation of nanomaterials. Here, CoatingsTech presents an overview of the regulatory landscape and focuses on commercialization efforts of companies in the coatings industry. Aside from the uncertainty of the regulatory future, end users are interested in the performance benefits possible with nanotechnology and how suppliers are working to meet their needs.
