ABSTRACT
The article presents a ten-step road map created by the author as he prepared to leave his big law firm. It is stated that one must reclaim the right to define one's own success. It is stated that when one is starting one's own firm, one needs to be physically, mentally, and emotionally ready to handle not only the pressures of starting a business, but also clients' fears, concerns, and needs.
