ABSTRACT
The article presents a study regarding the residue levels of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) from cereals in Nigeria. The study determined OCP concentrations with a Varian 3700 gas chromatograph equiped with Nickel-63 electron capture detector. The study has found that all the cereal samples contain some levels of one or more OCPs; however, most of the values were below the maximum residue limits (MRL) of the Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
