A study is presented that considers the religious beliefs of the members of the Spiritual Church of Healing (SCH), a Spiritualist congregation located in Montreal, Québec. The majority of the church's membership is comprised of Québécois raised in the Catholic Church, who refuse to accept that their activities in the SCH comprise a religious conversion. Using participant observation, the author considers church members' beliefs in clairvoyance, mediums, and spiritual healing as well as providing an overview of the history of spiritualism and spiritual churches.
