ABSTRACT
The article reports that the vehicle sales in the Brazilian market are forecasted to grow but manufacturers are facing various challenges. This was revealed during the Automotive logistics South America Summit held in September 2011 in S�o Paulo, Brazil. These challenges include uncompetitive cost base for labour, taxation and costs of raw materials. Experts warn that Brazil could lose out to foreign imports if it does not focus on improving supply chain planning and logistics operations.
