ABSTRACT
The article provides a historical overview of the coverage of oscilloscopes in the journal "EE: Evaluation Engineering." Topics discussed include a 1978 article about oscillator plug-in modules by testing equipment manufacturer Tektronix, a report in 1997 on measurement company Agilent Technologies' introduction of the mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO), and a 1998 discussion of the development of the digital phosphor oscilloscope (DPO) by Tektronix.
