ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the time spent on hands-on work for a massage professional in standing and sitting positions to reduce work-related injury. There are both pros and cons of both standing and sitting positions while working. To avoid fatigue from standing, at least one-fourth of the time in any treatment session should be spent on sitting. While the pros of standing involves giving longer strokes covering a larger area, the pros of sitting involves giving more stability and precision.
