ABSTRACT
The article presents information on Bradley 3 Ranch seedstock operation near Childress, Texas, which follows the ranch philosophy of making the cows earn their living and calve. James Henderson of the Bradley 3 Ranch, says that the philosophy helped in creating a herd of efficient, long-lived and adapted cattle. Its benefits include things like feed efficiency, longevity, calving ease, moderate size but relative thickness, low cost of production and good carcass quality. INSETS: Selection pressure is foundational;Industry efficiency claims are thin.
