The article discusses the Millennial Generation, or Generation Y, and examines how the personality and lifestyle characteristics of this generation fit into the field of employment as librarians. Particular focus is given to characteristic behaviors of Millennials including adeptness at multi-tasking, technology literacy, and optimism and recruitment and retention strategies for librarians of the Millennial Generation are explored.
