ABSTRACT
The article reports on the results of the 2011 Campus Computing survey, the annual survey of leading information technology (IT) officers at higher education institutions in the U.S. IT officers are optimistic on the use of mobile applications for instruction where the strongest growth in the deployment of mobile applications in college sector. It notes that one of the largest reasons behind the growth is that students are coming to campuses with their own mobile devices.
