ABSTRACT
A clinical study is conducted to compare the Wells rule (WR), simplified Wells rule (SWR), revised Geneva score (RGS), and simplified revised Geneva score (SRGS), combined with D-dimer testing in patients with suspected first acute pulmonary embolism (PE). It is given that patients of more than and equal to 18 years of age are examined. It is found that the rules are similar for ruling out PE, with high sensitivity and low specificity.
