The article presents a 16-year retrospective study which aims to determine the nature and result of proliferative lesions of the endometrium in India. A total of 1778 cases were examined, five cases of benign endometrial polyp and 74 patients with endometrial hyperplasia. The study reveals that the fate of endometrium's hyperplastic lesion revealed a different pattern. It shows that follow-up cases predominantly revealed persistence of the lesion which possibly leading from a fluctuating but higher estrogenic stimulus level.
