ABSTRACT
The article reports that Martin Brummell, a PhD researcher from the University of Saskatchewan, used Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis technology to analyze the relationship between greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere and ice/soil. He studied concentration profiles of gases in the soil's active layer above the permafrost in the Arctic region in Canada.
