ABSTRACT
The article reports that the carbon capture and storage (CCS) facilities will not be constructed at the Longannet coal-fired power plant in Scotland due to high cost of running a pipeline from the plant to the storage areas of the North Sea. British energy and climate change secretary Chris Huhne said that they are now considering other bids for the 1 billion pounds project.
