Stora Enso increases paper productivity

The article reports that Stora Enso Oyj is using wireless monitoring as part of an operator-driven reliability (ODR) programme, which is aimed towards empowering machinery operators to play a more proactive role in the maintenance process. Stora first introduced ODR at its Varkaus pulp and paper mill in Finland which resulted in an improvement in the efficiency of maintenance procedures, increased machine availability and reduced operating costs.
