ABSTRACT
The article presents research on sleep disorders in the U.S. Researcher from Ohio notes that the presence of rhythmic limb movements during sleep may vary in terms of intensity leading to the development of periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD). Another study in Texas links obesity to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) which is treated with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). Similar study in New York finds higher rates of OSA incidence among women pregnant with multiples.
