ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the best practices made by the Pioneer West Virginia Federal Credit Union (FCU) to stop a 13-month lending skid in its outstanding loan balances that reduced every month. It says that the credit union has also improved loan-to-share ration to 75% from 55% along with the quality of its paper. It states that its return on assets (ROA) became negative in 2009 and 2010 to 49 basis points until September 2011.
