ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the implications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act (PPACA) in the U.S. According to the health care industry leaders, such healthcare reform legislation will enhance the quality of medical care in the country, however, they are concerned on its accessibility and utilization. According to the 2011 Reform Readiness Survey, health care executives expect to reduce their staff and services under the law due to its increased complexity and overhead.
