ABSTRACT
Reports that a U.S. advisory committee on immunisation practices at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended that people likely to be directly involved in handling any outbreak of smallpox after a terrorist attack should be vaccinated. Unanimous vote that mass immunisation is not necessary; Recommendation that smallpox response teams be set up in each state and territory.
