ABSTRACT
The article discusses basic data on stress in wire and cable technology industry. It mentions that stress which has an International System (SI) unit of Pascal (Pa) is the force divided by the area to which the force is applied. It states that shear stress is determined when the force component is parallel to the area of application. It says that drawing stress is considered to be the most significant normal stress in wire drawing analysis.
