ABSTRACT
The article reports on the efforts by Mora, Minnesota-based FirstLight Medical Systems radiologist, Doctor Steven Sirr, to recreate a violin that was made in 1704. The violin is called Betts, which was constructed by master violin maker Antonio Stradivari and is considered as among the four or five greatest violins that still existed as of December 2011. It cites the fundraising efforts by the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of Spokane (Washington) through the game of basketball.
