ABSTRACT
The article discusses how volatile prices is affecting the behavior of buyers, service centers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), who chose to remain in the sidelines trather than invest in inventories in the steel industry in the U.S. Daniel R. DiMicco, chief executive officer (CEO) of Nucor Corp., asserts that the state need to create more jobs and rebuild the crumbling infrastructure. It states that the weakness in the sector is attributed to widespread pessimism to achieve growth. INSET: Too Much Capacity Cause for Concern?.
