The article offers information on the effect of caustic exposure on epoxy and polyester resins. It states that epoxy resins are formed by the reaction of epichlorohydrin with bisphenol and polyester resins are made from a saturated polybasic isophthalic acid and adi- or polyhydric alcohol. It discusses about the reaction of epoxy resin with amino resin, polyamine, and amine adduct and about the polyester lining.
