ABSTRACT
The article presents a study which focuses on the use of 2GS technology for the development of novel transcriptome-based markers from blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum). It investigated single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) with the help of transcriptome-based 2GS 454 sequencing in the parental genotypes of a reference mapping population. Large numbers of novel markers were generated for the construction of a high-density linkage map.
