ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a study which analyzes ovule development in Capsicum annuum and compares aberrant ovule development and carpelloid transformation with parthenocarpic fruit set. Parthenocarpy improves fruit quality and this trait is found in some genotype of Capsicum annuum. Sometimes carpel-like structures are found in seedless fruits obtained from these genotypes.
