The article reports that Southwestern Missouri Gas Summit Utilities Management Services LLC managed the construction of transmission and distribution system in Branson, Missouri. According to its construction and business development manager Bret Brown, it took longer for gas to arrive in the city because its transmission route has the hardest rock, making it difficult to install gas pipes in the ground. He mentioned that they used horizontal directional drilling (HDD) to penetrate the rocks.
