ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the recovery of conventions and corporate meetings in Las Vegas, Nevada in the first half of 2011. It says that after the slump brought by the recession and political backlash, attendance at conventions and corporate meetings saw a 7 percent increase. It states that hotel rates also rose by 10 percent, but people continue to return to Las Vegas for experiences and value.
