ABSTRACT
The article reports on the collaboration between Bangalore, India-based Biocon Ltd. and Pfizer Inc. Biocon chairman and managing director Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw says that they decided to partner with Pfizer on their insulin, as they saw it as a value-creation opportunity for both of pharmaceutical companies. In India, where Biocon sell its insulin, Pfizer, too, can market insulin under its own brand.
