The article focuses on privatbancassurance in Asia, which is use of life insurance structures by private banks. It states that in 2010 total privatbancassurance sales were 0.4 billion dollars in Asia. It mentions that the area is dominated by three Bermuda-based subsidiaries of multinational insurance companies. It highlights that there is scope for the industry in the region as private banks are looking for new products and these banks are growing fast.
