News - China: Agricultural Bank of China to increase stake in Jiahe Life to 51%

The article reports that Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. (AgBank), the country's fourth largest lender, is planning to but 1.04 billion new shares issued by Jiahe Life Insurance Co. which will allow it to own a 51% stake in the insurer. Pan Gongsheng, Vice President of AgBank, says that most of the banks are now expanding their business in non-banking financial services.
