ABSTRACT
The article discusses the role of the insurance industry in addressing issues such as sustainability and climatic changes. The World Business Council for Sustainable Development has laid out its vision that in 2050, some 9 billion people live well, and within the limits of the planet. The role of insurance is significant in the transition to a sustainable society. The development and use of innovative technologies involve risks, and it is important to hedge risks.
