ABSTRACT
In this article, the author reflects on the technology trend in the music production industry which is consolidation. He mentions Avid which offers a software that support audio stream input output (ASIO) and established the ReWire protocol as part of Pro Tools. He also cites other companies that consolidated its products to cater to the consumers needs. He believes that the trend will remain as technology continues to evolve.
