ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the event that meets a cross section of spiritual leaders to be led by Pope Benedict XVI in Assisi, Italy on October 27, 2011. It states that former Pope John Paul II founded the said historic initiative in favor of peace in 1986. It mentions that the event will feature activities that are different from the ones conducted during the time of John Paul such as the labeling of the events as a pilgrimage and the inclusion of four high-profile nonbelievers on the guest list.
