The article focuses on the renovation of Jackson County Courthouse located in Holton, Kansas in order to become Energy Star certified. It states that Jackson County (JC) has collaborated with certified energy manager (CEM) Kristi Hubbard of McElroy's Inc.'s Building and Energy Solutions team on the building's energy-conservation plan. It says that in March 2011, the courthouse received its official Energy Star certification which was given to JC commissioner and custodian Teresa Scheidegger.
