ABSTRACT
The article discusses how wholesale optical laboratories benefit from receiving orders via the Internet and remote frame tracing. The benefits of electronic ordering include fewer errors and callbacks, virtual elimination of redos, reduction of costs, and improvement of turn-around time. Remote frame tracing at the eye care professional's (ECP) office enables the laboratory to deliver edged lens to the ECP and improves the lenses' quality. The elements of frame tracing process are also cited.
