ABSTRACT
The article discusses the history and the changes of the boiler's maximum achievable control technology (MACT) rules issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the U.S. Senator Susan Collins of Maine states that the rule shall not jeopardize thousands of jobs in manufacturing industry particularly forest products by imposing billions of dollars of new costs. The legislation clarifies that renewable and carbon-neutral materials remain classified as fuel and not solid waste.
