ABSTRACT
The article explores the impact of the 2009 H1N1 pandemic in the state of Utah. A report revealed that there were 1,327 2009 H1N1 hospitalizations in the state, which was normally at an average of 435 ay regular influenza season. More severe illness was also seen during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic, with 25% of which resulting to death or intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalization. Salt Lake County recorded the highest number of H1N1 hospitalization in 2009.
