ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the expectations in the belting industry in 2012 as discussed at the National Industrial Belting Association (NIBA) annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada from September 28 to October 2, 2011. It says that belt makers will have a good run in 2012 despite the economic climate, ramifications of political decisions, and the rising raw material costs. Among the industry's segments which could have a strong growth include coal mining, food distribution, and tire segments.
