ABSTRACT
The article looks at the campaign strategy that helped Bob Turner become elected as representative of the New York 9th Congressional District, which was vacated by then congressman Anthony Weiner. Turner sought help from New York State Conservative Party chairman Mike Long and media commentator Bill O'Reilly to help on the media campaign of Turner. Turner defeated Democratic candidate David Weprin for the district position in a special election ordered by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
