ABSTRACT
The article discusses the results of a study conducted by the Hay Group on how business leaders plan to maintain a competitive advantage and improve business performance following the economic crisis. Sixty-four percent of the respondents believe that individual performance management is a critical factor in overall business performance. It mentions that 52% of them plan to implement more rigorous individual performance management in 2011. It notes that 73% of firms were found to have failed in aligning performance management to their company strategy. It cites that 90% of business leaders believe that company culture has an impact on the effectiveness of performance management.
