The article focuses on the interoperability software platform Covia Connector developed by Corvia in 2009 that aims to help U.S. public-safety personnel do their jobs by connecting communication devices. The platform can run situational-awareness applications on such devices under Corvia's Connected Applications suite. Along with the suite, the platform was tested at Foothill DeAnza Community College in Los Altos Hills, California during the visit of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
