SECURITY FORCE ASSISTANCE: Setting Favorable Conditions for Future Deployments

The article explores the Security Force Assistance (SFA), which main goal is to support foreign security forces that aids the U.S. and coalition interests in a given operating environment. Modular brigade augmented for security force assistance (MB-SFA), security force assistance brigade (SFAB) and brigade combat team-augmented (AAB) are some of the names give to brigade combat teams deployed for SFA. The author says successful SFA comes by working closely with foreign security forces.
