ABSTRACT
The article discusses the successful partnership of the Texas A&M University with the location-based social networking service Foursquare. The service allows its users to update their location while staying connected with friends. According to University social media director Diane MacDonald, the students were actually the ones who recommended said partnership. Aside from giveaways and rewards, a custom Texas Aggie badge was also provided to users.
