ABSTRACT
The article discusses the additional guarantees required on the proposed sale of Colorado Health Foundation's 40% interest in its HealthOne joint venture to its majority partner, HCA Healthcare. It says that the guarantees involve low-income patients and keeping HealthOne's hospitals open. It adds that the Colorado Center on Law and Policy and other health care institutions are supporting the foundation's decision to sell in order for it to concentrate on making healthcare-related grants.
