ABSTRACT
The article discusses an ethnographic survey by researchers at Mayo Clinic Center for Innovationin a Southeastern Minnesota city to learn how its members view their interactions with the health care sector and how they conceptualize health and well-being. Members of the community who were interviewed viewed the health care system as inflexible, intimidating, and guarding of information that they thought should be shared.
