ABSTRACT
The article reports that Tata Steel Ltd. engineers have upgraded three electric ladle arc furnaces control infrastructure in Scunthorpe, Great Britain. It says that Inspec Solutions Ltd. designs the control system and automation for steel and iron foundries. Inspec Solutions technical director Justin Hall prefers the Rockwell process automation system to replace three black box electrode controllers. It adds that Tata Steel foresee an annual saving worth 500,000 pounds due to the advancements.
