ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the financial performance, during the first half of 2011, and the year-end outlook of several tire manufacturers worldwide including Bridgestone Corp., Michelin North America Inc., and Goodyear Corp. It says that Bridgestone posted a 4.1% increase in sales on its improved original equipment (OE) business in the Americas. It relates that Michelin acknowledged the growth in the aftermarket sales for passenger tires in North America during the said duration.
