The article focuses on the efforts of Jonney Shih, chairman of personal computer maker Asustek Computer Inc., to change the way of farming and fishing in Taiwan in a Buddhist way. It states that Shih, who is a follower of Buddhism, formed the Kuan-Shu Educational Foundation in admiration of Cheng Yen, head of the Buddhist charity Tzu Chi Foundation. It mentions that Kuan-Shu is involved in activities such as running an organic rice farm and restoring wetlands.
