ABSTRACT
The article discusses the European electric locomotive technology adapted by Siemens Mobility to build the ACS64 Amtrack Cities Sprinter for inter-city passenger route in North America. In California, the next generation of electric motives for Amtraks Northeast Corridor connecting Washington, D.C., New York and Boston is beginning to take shape.
