The article reports on the acquisition of California-based Screamin' Media Group Inc. (SMG) by Local.com Corp. The transaction is valued at 12.5 million U.S. dollars. There is a plan to merge SMG with Local.com's Spreebird coupon service. Also, SMG will be relocated to the Local.com headquarters in Irvine and will adopt the Spreebird brand name. As of July 2011, the market capitalization of Local.com was 84.85 million U.S. dollars.
